This week is my final module of Curvy Yoga Teacher Training with Anna Guest-Jelley. This time and space on my life is so incredibly sacred. I want to hold these days so close to me.
Step one: Wake up slow. Without an alarm. In a room that truly feels like a spa. Cool but not cold. Bright but not blinding. Yes, yes, yes.
Then I walk down the street and enjoy a iced latte and a bagel sandwich. Eggs, cheddar, bacon, cream cheese. So delicious. By the time I'm done with my sandwich, most of my fellow yoga teacher students join me. Some of them I hadn't seen since March. Squealing commenced.
We start the day with check-ins and classroom instruction.
We do some yoga. We eat some lunch. We do a little more yoga. We learn some more in the classroom. And then more yoga.
And then we chill out before teaching our own mini-sequences.
A group of us walked to dinner (sushi and a whiskey sour for me) and got back to the studio just as the lighting turned stunning.
Such a lovely group of ladies, minus a few.
We hung around and worked on Sanskrit memory devices for a while. I swear, the more I almost know, the more it all runs together. Everyone eventually went home one by one and my roomie and I stumbled upstairs. She taught me all about Reiki and essential oils. And the lights were off by 9:30. I justified it by knowing that it was actually 10:30 my time.
And, a bonus picture taken while editing this the following evening (last night). I mean, really. This is where all blogposts should be written.
