Sometimes you just need a weekend away. Without worries of jobs or money or yoga teacher training exams or anything really.
And Miranda knows how to make that happen.
We got in Friday night. Had dinner at a church-turned-brewery. Got a great night's sleep.
Saturday morning, we went to yoga at Washington Park. It was Nathan's first yoga class! And the teacher in me was able to tune out (mostly) and enjoy the class. It was surprisingly beginner-friendly for a community class.
I worried that the fountain was going to come on every time we took a wide-legged forward fold. But we made it out. The gurgling started about 30 seconds after our *namaste* though.
Then I gave a Down Dog workshop in Miranda's kitchen. Look how flat her back is!
Black bean burger. Delicious. Also the only time we got in the car.
Friends. FRIENDS. Pork belly, runny egg, ramen.
It was a lovely day to cheer for a marathon. Mir and I camped out with coffee and scones around mile 12 of the half.
You just can't take the yoga out of the girl.
This life, friends. Even with the layoffs and the dead computer. There is still so much joy.
