A day in the life - between

I have two weeks between jobs. And I plan on enjoying them. (Between jobs? Yes! Details on the new gig coming soon!)

Part of that enjoyment is not sleeping it away. Once Nathan got up, Herschel took his spot. I caught up on social media while petting my girl and was out of bed by 7.

I made my smoothie and my to-do list for the day. I may be between jobs, but I am still working.

I want to make a point to get outside early in the morning because, friends, humidity has visited Kentucky early. I was so sweaty at the end of my walk. Even before 9am. Low back was feeling a little crunchy, but I knew the antidote.

I had every intention of lounging by the pool for a while, but I'm still a smidge pink from too much time in the pool at Mom's. So I cleaned up, grabbed my computer and headed out to get some work done.

I ran some errands, driving through the bank and picking up our new modem.

Even though I could have just driven home and plugged our new modem in, I destroyed my to-do list with the help of an iced latte and a chocolate donut.

Aaaahhhhh! So excited for lunch leftovers! Buffalo chickpea tenders and roasted potatoes. So tasty!

I had a session and then, to practice what I preach, I asked myself what I wanted. My to-do list is done and I wanted a nap. So I curled up on the couch with McDreamy.

I walked down to our community clubhouse to make sure everything is ready for yoga tonight. And I think these skies (no filter) are why it was so humid today.

It rained and rained and rained. And I had blueberries and cottage cheese as Nathan worked on our internet.

I taught my first yoga class at our community center. It wasn't bad. 7 people for the first class!

After I taught and Nathan came home from dance class, we had an easy dinner.

I hung out with my sweetheart in front of the tv for a bit, and then I was in bed with a book (and he was brushing his teeth) by 10:00.

I love the balance of work and ease that I struck today. I could get used to this!
