Team Bob Check-In

I'm 10 days into Bob Harper's Skinny Rules. And I'm loving it. The first 3 days were terrible. TERRIBLE. But since then, I've hit a stride. Meal plans are easier to follow. I'm not craving sugar anymore. I'm starting to feel like this is manageable for a while.

Here are the main points of the program that I have embraced (while mostly following the meal plans he outlines):

  • Drink a glass of water before every meal.
  • No carbs after lunch.
  • No sugar except fruit (and minimal fruit other than berries and an apple)
  • No eating after dinner.

What I'm refusing to follow? The "no drinking calories" thing. I'm having my 1 1/3 cup of milk for my Via every morning because, honestly, it just makes me happy. And I can fit it into my calorie allowance.

The best news of all? I lost 5.6 pounds in the first week. And I realized today that I haven't had a headache in a week.

I'm committed to this. I'm determined to follow through the full 4-week intro program and decide how to proceed from there.

3 fast miles!

7:00 - Via and Ezekiel bread with peanut butter and 1/2 banana

10:15 - cashews with 2% Fage and frozen blueberries

Noonish - roasted veggies and wheat berries

4:00 - apple and a baby gouda (and Karev)

4:15 (still hungry) - boiled egg

5:45 - dinner at Ted's Montana Grill. Bison burger with avocado (without bun) and sliced tomatoes.

Grand totals: 1563 in - 387 out = 1176 net calories.

No cheating.
